  • 18.4 or less (underweight)
  • 18.5 – 24.9 (healthy weight)
  • 25.0 – 29.9 (overweight)
  • 30.0 or more (obese)

As BMI calculates body mass and not only fat, it doesn’t provide adequate guidance for everyone. Notable BMI exceptions include body builders, pregnant women, children and the elderly.
